Executive Vice President, Head of North America Asset Manager Client Portfolio at State Street

Yvonne Garcia is Executive Vice President and Head of North America Asset Manager Client Portfolio Lead at State Street. In this role, she leads strategic engagement and portfolio management for the firm’s North American asset manager clients, helping to shape and execute client strategies that drive growth and long-term partnership.

Previously, Yvonne served for seven years as Chief of Staff to State Street’s Chairman and CEO, Ron O’Hanley, while also holding dual roles as Global Head of Internal Communications and Global Head of the CEO Experience Program. She was responsible for executing firmwide strategic priorities, overseeing internal communications for over 50,000 employees, and managing the CEO Experience Program to engage State Street’s most strategic clients representing $9.6B in revenue.

Earlier in her career at State Street, Yvonne led the Global Client Solutions and Implementation team within Investment Management Services (IMS), where she designed and implemented future-state operating models for clients.

Prior to joining State Street, Yvonne held leadership roles at Liberty Mutual as Director of Marketing and Distribution Strategy, and at Bank of America as Vice President for the China Construction Bank Strategic Assistance Program.

Yvonne is a recognized leader in civic and professional communities. She served as Chairwoman of ALPFA, the largest Latino professional organization in the U.S., and co-founded Milagros para Niños at Boston Children’s Hospital, which has raised over $20 million for Hispanic children in need of care. She was appointed by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey to the Latino Empowerment Commission Council and serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Reading Cooperative Bank and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. Yvonne has been featured in Fortune magazine in partnership with ALPFA as one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Latinas in the United States seven years in a row. Yvonne has also been recognized by Boston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business and by Yahoo Finance four years in a row on their top 20 HERoes list nationally showcasing leaders who are championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace.

She holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Boston University and a BA from SUNY Albany. Yvonne is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has received honorary degrees from Cambridge College (Doctor of Humane Letters) and the New England School of Business (Doctor of Commerce).
